Memories of My Sister

Leta sent me this poem framed with a picture of Kathy and me. It meant so much to both Harv and I as we read it so I want to share it on here.

How well I do remember
All the special times we had
As we were raised side by side
Sharing good times, sharing bad

Sometimes we would disagree
But always made up in the end
But as we grew to be adults
We became the best of friends

Then you heard the voice of Jesus
Gently calling from on high
He was holding out His loving arms
But I could not say 'goodbye"

So I said "see you later"
Dear sister, wait for me
In the beauty of God's Heaven
Where the best is yet to be

In loving memory of my baby sister, In His grip, Ginger

Fall Colors....

For Ginger....

It seems that only a few trees here and there are turning right now, mainly maples. The one in our yard still has not started turning. I haven't seen many oaks that are starting yet either.

They boys spent the night with Papa last night, so Rick and I went to the movie. We saw Eagle Eye. I recommend it. It was very good and definatly kept me awake!! Kurt is in a performance at church tonight. The kids choir is performing. He is in the rhythm section. I'm anxious to see what they have been learning. We finished up fall baseball yesterday. Kurt had so much fun being catcher.

Please pray for Jason Jackson's family. He is the son of Ginger & Mom's cousin, Steve. He was in his mid-20s and went to be with the Lord yesterday. He has had a long battle with cancer and had a stem cell transplant in the last few weeks. As with mom, God has healed him completely, but as we know it's still so hard for all his family and loved ones. Please life them up in prayer. Thank you!!
I hope you have a wonderful week full of blessings!!
Love, Christy

Just checking in

I just wanted to check in with everyone and see how it is going. I have been busy busy and still busy but what else is new? I know you can relate to that! Harv is painting one of the bedrooms so I am having to stay out of his way. For some reason if you can picture this I seem to get in his way! I was taking the border down in the room before he started painting and he was telling me how to do it. Needless to say when it comes to this type of work we don't work good together! Can anyone relate to this??? Anyone that is around us during these "moments" think we are funny so I am gald someone enjoys these "moments" Harv and I have during our work time! Maybe we will get the room back together and still be speaking to each other but then if we aren't Harv will no doubt enjoy the quiet! Oh well life is interesting. I will get some pictures on this blog one of these days. Trying to get one of the kids or Harv to be still long enough to show me how to do it is a major undertaking. Christy is doing such a wonderful job of keeping beautiful pictures on here. I will be back on here in next day or two to let you know how the world is turning here in the Klinegardner household. Take care everyone. In His grip, Ginger

Photos of our trip to Branson....

I don't really have much to say, but I wanted to share several photos of our trip to Branson...get ready, I'm a picture person!!

I always loved these kinds of things when I was growing up...Nathan & Papa rode the teacups...Nathan's favorite ride...he rode it at least 4 times in a row!!Kurt & Rick on the Electrospin (I think that's what it is called) Anyway....Do you see them up "in the trees"? I was crazy enough to get on this thing after they rode it. I was scared to death and I LOVE roller coasters!!At Branson Landing watching the water fountains....At Ridemakerz making cool cars. This is like Build A Bear, only it is cars. For any of you that have boys in your family, I highly recommend it. They had so much fun and they actually get to build the car.Our final stop was lunch at Big Cedar Lodge. Mom & Rick spend a lot of their anniversaries there. Rick took us around the property. It is beautiful there. What a view! This is the view from the balcony of one of their rooms that we snuck a peak at!This a waterfall by the heated outdoor pool!

We had so much fun and were so glad that Rick went with us. I'm glad he was able to show us a place that was so special to him and mom. He is in Florida right now at his high school reunion. I'm glad he went. He will get to spend some time with Uncle Jerry also.

I'm going to take Grandma out to eat and shopping on Sunday. We are staying busy with school, church and baseball and are looking forward to seeing everyone in Texas for Thanksgiving!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Just checking it

Don't ask me why but I have been having a little trouble getting on here. I am sure it is me and my computer..........we are both old! :-) I hope everyone reading this is having a good week. We are all so busy down here. Harv has been working on replacing the part of the wood fence that came down when Hurricane Ike came through. I have been busy starting up a ladies Bible study here at my house on Thursday morning and again on Thursday night. Today was the first time we had it and there was a good group for both times so thank you Lord! I heard from Rick today and he is going to fly to Florida this week-end for his class reunion. He was not going to go but we are all glad that he decided to go. I also was texting Christy and she said they are like the rest of us busy! It was 4 weeks ago today that Kathy went to Heaven. We miss her so much but we have a constant peace knowing she is with Jesus and not in anymore pain. Mother is feeling okay. I have been trying to get her on the phone tonight and her line keeps being busy so she surely I will catch her soon! I am glad to know that she is visiting on the phone though. i am hoping to get some pictures on here soon. Take care everyone.

Hard to close out the caringbridge website

I was just reading over the caringbridge website and just really having a hard time knowing it has to be closed out. Our family never dreamed how God would use the website to minister to us through the journey with Kathy. We went into the website thinking that this would be a wonderful way to keep everyone posted on day to day happenings with Kathy so others would know how to pray for her. From the beginning the caringbridge website has been a gift from God. Now that Kathy is with the Lord we are going to use this blog to stay in touch with you and we hope that you will comment and let us know what is going on with you and your love ones. When Christy and I was talking about a name for the blog I could only come up with grace-soaked bunch because we truly are! I hope to get some pictures on here as time goes on. Of course I will have to let the" smart ones" in the family put them on here since I have no clue how to do that. I am still feeling pretty smart just being able to do this! :-).........the kids and Harv says I am living proof you can do something and not know what you are doing! Of course, Christy did have to type directions for me to know how to blog but I am getting the hang of it. We ask God to smile on this blog and use it to reach out and touch others for the better. So friends and family thank you for staying with us on here and be excited to see how God will allow this blog for kingdom gain.

Christy, her Rick, Nathan, Kurt and Rick went to Branson overnight. I have text Christy and all have a good time. We are thankful they are enjoying Branson.

I tried to post on the comment side because I wanted to comment on what a beautiful wall arrangement Christy had done but I losted it once I posted it so will have to work on that. Guess I am not as smart as I think I am! :-)

Jamie it is great seeing you on here. We all love you!
